
Olympic Tower | The Onassis Cultural Center



The Onassis Cultural Center is the main exhibition space of the Foundation located in the Olympic Tower's Lower Level. The Onassis Cultural Center, opened in fall 2000, carries out the mission of the Onassis Foundation (USA) by presenting cultural and artistic activities concerning ancient, Byzantine and modern Hellenic civilization. The Onassis Cultural Center's programs include:
- Art exhibitions of ancient, Byzantine and modern art, accompanied by scholarly catalogues, lectures, conferences and other programs that elaborate upon the exhibition subject. Guided tours and private viewings are organised upon request
- Contemporary art exhibitions in the Olympic Tower Atrium, including specially commissioned installations by international artists inspired by Hellenic culture
- Concerts and multimedia programs presenting classical, traditional and modern works by renowned international performers
- International Conferences
- Lectures on various subjects by eminent scholars and professors
- Readings of poetry and theatrical plays
- Theatrical performances
- Screenings of films and documentaries
- Special Events for the Young Friends of the Onassis Cultural Center, including exclusive cultural events, private exhibition viewings, gallery talks and social activities.
Admission is free for all the events at the Onassis Cultural Center and all facilities are wheelchair-accessible.
The Onassis Cultural Center Exhibition Hours are:
Monday-Friday: 10a.m.- 6p.m.
Saturday: 10a.m.- 6p.m.
